What is a grocery delivery app?

A grocery delivery app lets customers order from your stores or dark stores on their phone. Behind it sit three more pieces. Store staff use a picking app, and riders use a delivery app. An admin panel controls stock, pricing, offers and delivery zones.

A custom build fits your model. Scheduled slots for a supermarket chain. Fast delivery from dark stores. Or a local kirana network. It connects to your POS so online and counter sales share one stock. Customers, pickers and riders all see the same order status.

What changes. The everyday problems we hear most, and what fixes them.

  • TodayCustomers order items that went out of stock an hour ago.

With AviralThe app reads live store stock and hides what is not available.

  • TodayPickers call customers one by one about missing items.

With AviralCustomers approve substitutions in the app before the order is packed.

  • TodayRiders wait at the store while orders are still being packed.

With AviralRiders are assigned when packing finishes, not when the order arrives.

  • TodayOnline and counter stock are kept in two different systems.

With AviralApp orders and POS bills reduce the same stock.

Questions we get asked.

Can the app work with our existing billing software?

Usually yes. We connect to your POS or ERP so stock and prices stay the same online and at the counter.

How are loose items like vegetables priced?

Customers order by approximate weight. The picker weighs the item, and the final amount adjusts before delivery or payment capture.

Can we run our own riders and a delivery partner together?

Yes. Orders can go to your riders first. When needed, they can go to a third-party partner that offers an API.

Will it be on both Android and iPhone?

Yes. Customer apps are built for both, and staff apps are usually Android.

What does a grocery app cost?

It depends on the apps, delivery model and integrations. You get a written proposal after a scoping call.
